Wanted - Experienced Spray Painter(Industrial)

DH Appointments is looking for a Spray Painter for one of our clients based in the Western Suburbs. The spray painter is responsible for preparing and applying hight quality paint and protective coatings to semi-trailers and components ensuring finishes meet the quality standards.

Below are the essential duties and responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, sealing, and surface correction. • Apply paint and protective coatings to trailers and components to quality standards. • Inspect completed work and rectify defects where required. • Safely operate spray-painting equipment and maintain a clean paint booth. • Follow all WHS procedures, including working safely at heights and wearing required PPE. • Work collaboratively with sandblasters, fabricators, and supervisors to meet production deadlines. • Follow all WHS procedures, including safe handling of chemicals and materials. 

THE REQUIREMENTS

Experience as a spray painter in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Strong skills in surface preparation, sanding, masking, sealing and cleaning. 

Ability to appy paint and protective coatings to a high quality standard

High attention to detail.
