Driver Hire Australia is currently seeking an experienced Cold Stores Forklift Operator to join a busy transport and logistics operation.

We are looking for operators who can do more than simply move freight. Successful candidates will have experience building loads efficiently, understanding freight profiles, and ensuring trailers are loaded correctly to maximise operational efficiency and delivery performance.

About the Role

• Working in a cold storage loading + Unloading refridgerated foods and dry goods
• Loading and unloading trailers within a cross-dock environment
• Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
• Building trailer loads based on delivery drop sequence
• Maintaining a safe and organised loading area
• Manual handling involved

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Experience working with Refridgerated products & Dry Goods 
• Previous experience in a transport cross-dock environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong safety focus and work ethic

Highly Regarded

• Previous experience with general freight carriers
• Understanding of LTL Loads
• Knowledge of load restraint requirements
