Driver Hire Tasmania is seeking a reliable and hands-on Warehouse & Yard Operator for a 3-week assignment commencing Monday 19 October with an established supplier of civil construction and environmental products in Moonah.
Working within a small and supportive team, this is a varied role combining warehouse and yard duties with customer interaction and general support across the operation.
About the Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Preparing orders for collection and delivery
- Receiving, organising and putting away stock
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-organised yard and warehouse
- Assisting walk-in customers with collections and enquiries
- General warehouse and yard duties
- Supporting the wider team wherever required
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and comfortable working in a small team environment.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Previous warehouse, stores, yard or similar experience
- Current Forklift Licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
- Good attention to detail and an organised approach
- Willingness to be hands-on and contribute across a range of duties
- Availability to commit to the full 3-week assignment from 19 October
