Derwent Park | Starting 19 October | Monday to Friday

Driver Hire Tasmania is looking for a reliable and capable Yard & Warehouse Operator for a three-week assignment with a well-established business based in Derwent Park.

Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you'll play an important role in keeping a busy yard and warehouse running smoothly. The operation supports both wholesale customers and direct-to-public retail sales, so we're looking for someone who can learn quickly, pitch in where needed and provide good service to customers and colleagues alike.

About the Role

This is a hands-on and varied position where no two days will necessarily look the same. Duties will include:

• Receiving and preparing customer orders
• Picking and packing stock
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Moving and organising stock throughout the yard and warehouse
• Assisting trade, wholesale and retail customers
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised work area
• General warehouse and yard duties
• Working closely with the small on-site team to keep daily operations moving

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and comfortable getting involved across the operation.

You'll ideally bring:

• Previous warehouse, yard, stores or similar experience
• The ability to learn products and processes quickly
• Confidence dealing with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Good attention to detail when preparing orders
• A strong commitment to safety
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Reliability and availability for the full three-week assignment
• Forklift licence and experience would be highly regarded
