HR Driver / Machine Operator – Long-Term Opportunity

Driver Hire Tasmania is looking for an experienced HR Driver to join a well-established client based in Mornington.

For the right person, this represents an excellent long-term opportunity, combining HR driving with hands-on operational work. We're particularly interested in drivers with hook truck experience, although candidates with solid HR driving experience and a background operating machinery or equipment are also encouraged to apply.

About the Role

You'll be working from our client's Mornington operation, completing predominantly local driving and delivery work around southern Tasmania, with occasional longer-distance runs when required.

Days start early and will generally finish around mid-afternoon, making this an attractive opportunity for someone looking for consistent work and a regular routine.

Typical duties will include:

• Operating HR vehicles safely and professionally
• Hook truck operations
• Local deliveries and collections
• Occasional longer-distance driving
• Loading, unloading and positioning materials or equipment
• Operating machinery and equipment as required
• Completing relevant paperwork and following site procedures
• Daily vehicle checks and maintaining equipment
• Working safely around customers, worksites and other team members
• Assisting with general operational duties when required

What We're Looking For

• Current HR licence
• Good recent heavy vehicle driving experience
• Hook truck experience highly regarded
• Alternatively, previous experience operating machinery or mobile equipment
• Good knowledge of Hobart and surrounding areas
• A strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable with early starts
• Willingness to get out of the cab and contribute to the wider operation
• A practical, team-focused approach to work
